Albalira is the partner leading the immigration practice at Morgan & Morgan. After 15 years of advising local and multinational companies, Albalira has extensive experience to facilitate transfers of skilled employees to Panama, as well as assisting investors in obtaining their entry visas, temporary and permanent residencies, and citizenship.
Albalira heads a team of lawyers committed to providing advice on immigration law, with a legal, practical and strategic approach to solving issues. Her experience and knowledge on immigration law and business, has made her become a trusted advisor, and excel in solving complex cases that require her unique approach.
Albalira also assists international organizations and NGO’s in providing legal advice to foreigners requiring immigration advice in Panama to regularize their residence status and obtaining work authorization in Panama.
Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Albalira was a partner at a consulting regional firm specializing in corporate labor and immigration counsel and related affairs.
Albalira holds a degree in Law and Political Sciences, from the Universidad de Panama and an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C.
Albalira is a member of the Panama Bar Association and is currently the president of its immigration commission (2019-2021). Also, has been a speaker on multiple conferences and forums and participates actively in advising on immigration law to Panama’s Executive Branch, drafting and reviewing regulations related to immigration matters.
