Katie Jensen is a director in the New York office in the legal and business risk group, on the data and analytics team. She has over 13 years of experience helping law firms and corporate legal departments by delivering creative and analytic solutions to solve complex data problems. She assists clients with the electronic discovery lifecycle from data identification and acquisition, through processing and review, to production. Ms Jensen has developed custom workflows which incorporate multiple analytical tools, including threading, near-duplicate detection, clustering, predictive coding and visualisation of data to help optimise review and save costs.  

Ms Jensen spent two years on assignment in the United Kingdom, expanding the global analytics initiative through client delivery, technology deployment and business development. During her time abroad, she oversaw the design and application of analytics workflows, including unsupervised machine learning, threading and predictive coding to assist clients with review, analysis and productions. 

She has been part of the steering committee that developed, tested and marketed Navigant’s proprietary machine-learning solution called NavAnalytics. Ms Jensen has worked in conjunction with colleagues on innovative uses of analytics and machine learning applied to non-traditional data sources. 

Ms Jensen has experience in managing a suite of matters for enterprise clients. She has been responsible for overseeing the development of client playbooks and standardising procedures for clients across law firms and matters. She has worked with some of the largest financial institutions in the world, dealing with complex investigations, regulatory inquiries, and litigation. Ms Jensen has developed custom workflows which incorporate multiple analytical tools, including threading, near-duplicate detection, clustering, predictive coding and visualisation of data to help optimise review and save costs.

Her experience includes: regulatory inquiries regarding bribery, corruption, money laundering, mergers and securities; fraud investigations in financial, pharmaceutical, and technology sectors; internal investigations into hiring practices, employment issues and bribery; litigation covering breach of contract, patent infringement, and intellectual property; and cross-border cartel investigations, regulatory inquiries and litigation.

Ms Jensen is a director in the legal technology solutions practice, based in the New York office. She has specialised in consulting with Fortune 500 clients and global law firms to assist with large-scale e-discovery and technology projects. She has worked on some of the largest projects dealing with over 10 terabytes of data and hundreds of millions of documents.  

She is part of the practice’s predictive analytics steering committee, and technology research committee, evaluating, testing and implementing text analytics and other technology to bridge any gaps, or enhance current offerings. Since 2013, Ms Jensen has focused on developing the practice’s advanced analytics offering as part of a team that designed, documented and tested a custom in-house developed predictive coding solution. She has led teams that deployed predictive coding in both the US and the UK to help legal teams with prioritisation, quality control and elimination of documents from review. Ms Jensen has developed custom workflows which incorporate multiple analytical tools, including threading, near-duplicate detection, clustering, predictive coding and visualisation of data to help optimise review and save costs.
