Olivier Mosimann specialises in international commercial arbitration with a particular emphasis on disputes in the pharma, chemical and technology sectors. He has acted as counsel or secretary to the arbitral tribunal in numerous arbitration proceedings conducted under institutional rules (including ICC and Swiss Rules) as well as in ad hoc proceedings. Olivier Mosimann was an associate in the dispute resolution department of a top-tier Swiss law firm (2012-2014). He also gained practical and academic experience in several positions held prior to his bar admission, including at the Court of Arbitration of the ICC in Paris.
Olivier Mosimann holds a master of laws (LLM) degree with a certificate of specialisation in law and technology from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Boalt Hall) (2014-2015), a doctor of law (Dr iur) from University of Basel for his thesis “Anti-Suit Injunctions in International Commercial Arbitration” (summa cum laude, 2009; awarded faculty prize, 2010) and a licentiate in law (lic. iur.) from University of Basel (summa cum laude, 2006).
Olivier Mosimann is admitted to practise before all Swiss courts. He acts in arbitration proceedings conducted in English and German, is fluent in French and has a basic knowledge of Russian.
