Born in Cremona (Italy) on 7 August 1949, Giuseppe Lombardi graduated with a degree (cum laude) in philosophy in 1972 followed by a law degree (cum laude) in 1974. His professional career began in January 1975, with Giuseppe working alongside his mentor, Professor Piero Schlesinger; in 1988, the two co-founded the law firm Schlesinger Lombardi. In 1996, he established Lombardi e Associati; in 2001, he joined forces with the law firm Pedersoli to establish Pedersoli Lombardi e Associati. In 2004 he founded Lombardi Molinari e Associati, which was renamed Lombardi Molinari Segni in 2014.
Giuseppe has extensive experience in litigation and arbitration (with specific reference to the corporate, banking and insolvency areas); his professional expertise also covers non-contentious matters, focusing on M&A and corporate finance, as well as debt restructuring and corporate reorganisation, especially for cases involving generational changeovers.
As the co-founder of the law review Corriere Giuridico and a member of its editorial committee, Giuseppe has also written numerous articles on corporate and banking law.
He is a member of the European Society for Banking and Financial Law (AEDBF).
