Biography:

Who's Who Legal Arbitration: Expert Witnesses

Damien Gros is one of the founding partners of Accuracy.

With more than 20 years’ experience in audit, financial advisory and corporate finance, he has acquired a broad range of accounting and financial skills, including forensic accounting and damage quantification. He specialises in litigation and international arbitration cases, and has significant experience in construction, defence & aerospace, manufacturing and professional services.

He has been appointed as expert witness in disputes heard before the French courts and arbitral tribunals (ICC, ICSID, and ad hoc). He has given oral evidence on several occasions, in English and French.

Damien has dealt with the investigation and quantification of damages resulting from breaches of commercial contracts, post M&A (post-closing adjustments, earn-out calculations, breach of representations and warranties, JV agreements) and accounting disputes, as well as restructuring and alleged unreasonable financial support, and expropriation. He also undertakes investigations in fraud, bribery and corruption contexts.

Prior to founding Accuracy, Damien worked for 10 years at Ernst & Young (ex-Arthur Andersen) in Paris.

He was a board director and chairman of the audit and risk committee from 2013 to 2015 of Alpiq, the leading listed Swiss electricity and energy services provider.

In addition to his dispute expertise, Damien also provides transaction advisory, corporate finance advisory, and valuations services, mostly to large international corporations in Europe, North America, Africa and the Middle East.

Damien graduated from French business school EDHEC Paris in 1993 where he specialised in economics and finance.

WWL says: Damien Gros is a leading expert witness with a depth of experience testifying before the French courts and arbitral tribunals.
