Juan Manuel Marchán is a partner at Pérez Bustamante & Ponce (PBP). He has a law degree from the Catholic University of Ecuador and a master's degree in law from Columbia University, USA.
Juan Manuel is an expert in international and local arbitration and in mergers and acquisitions/infrastructure.
He is a professor of international arbitration at Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
He serves as arbitrator of the arbitration and mediation centres of the Quito Chamber of Commerce and the Ecuadorian-American Chamber of Commerce in Quito.
Before joining PBP, Juan Manuel worked at the secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris, France. He also served as private secretary to the Minister of Mines and Petroleum and head of the minister's office.

Juan Manuel is member and current executive director of the Ecuadorian Arbitration Institute and a member of the governing board of the Latin American Arbitration Association (ALARB).
