Jaime Gallego is a counsel at Lalive. He specialises in international arbitration, including investment arbitration. He has acted as counsel for more than 12 years in international arbitration proceedings under the rules of the ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL and various others in relation to energy (including oil and gas), infrastructure, mining, construction, telecommunications, M&A, arms and many other business sectors and industries. He often acts in disputes in Latin America.
Mr Gallego is an English solicitor and a Spanish abogado, having practised in common law and civil law jurisdictions, thereby giving him a particular advantage in the field. He also participates regularly in conferences and lectures.
Mr Gallego graduated from ESADE law school in Spain (LLB and masters in tax, 1999) and from University College London (LLM in international dispute resolution, 2004).
