Dr Silke Möller is a partner at Glade Michel Wirtz, a highly regarded boutique firm, which focuses exclusively on competition and corporate work.
Silke has extensive experience in advising clients on all aspects relating to German and European competition law.
Examples of Silke's recent experience include the defence of companies and individuals in various cartel proceedings of the European Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office (including investigations of retail food packaging, drugstore products, meat and sausages, sweets, mills and steel purchasing). She also advises clients in relation to multiple leniency filings.
In addition, Silke has represented numerous companies, such as IK Investment Partners, Intermediate Capital Group, Galderma (Nestlé Group), MPC Münchmeyer Petersen, Seaco, HNA Group, and Klingel in national and international merger control proceedings. She has also provided competition law advice to DAX 30 and other companies of the consumer goods, healthcare or mechanical engineering industries on co-operation in R&D, purchasing and distribution.
Silke also specialises in compliance work and has developed, structured and implemented the compliance organisations for a broad range of clients, including all German subsidiaries of a major European group active in concessions and the public work sector, renowned manufacturers of branded goods from the food and consumer goods industry and a leading German trade fair company.
Silke studied law at the Universities of Münster and Barcelona and holds an LLM from King's College London. She was awarded a doctorate from the University of Bonn with a thesis on the notion of consumer welfare in European and American competition law and spent some time as scholar-in-residence at the University of Virginia.
Prior to the foundation of Glade Michel Wirtz in 2007, Silke worked in the competition groups of a leading German and international law firm and was seconded as a foreign associate to the Brussels' office of a leading US firm. She is a frequent speaker at competition law conferences and publishes regularly in this area.
