Mischa Armin is an associate in the Toronto Advocacy Group, and heads Gowling WLG's e-discovery management group. In this role, Mischa works directly with clients on complex discovery issues to create efficient, cost-effective and defensible solutions. He provides both legal and technical advice on every stage of the electronic discovery process, implementing best practices relating to electronic discovery in Ontario. Mischa regularly develops and negotiates discovery plans, advises clients on records management and implementing legal holds, and has extensive litigation project management experience across a variety of matter types (class actions, commercial litigation, regulatory) and sizes (modestly sized to multi-jurisdictional). He has direct experience training and managing legal process outsourcing providers, and in the use of technology-assisted review (or predictive coding). Mischa is a member of the Ontario e-discovery implementation committee, a joint committee of the Ontario Bar Association and the Advocates' Society, and a speaker on e-discovery issues. He has completed the Osgoode Hall Law School certificate in e-discovery, records management, information governance and privacy.
