Boaz Moselle heads Cornerstone Research’s European international arbitration practice. Dr Moselle is an economist with extensive expertise in international arbitrations and energy-related disputes. He consults on competition, regulatory, and commercial issues, including merger analysis, allegations of competitive abuse, and antitrust damages.
Dr Moselle provides consulting and expert testimony in commercial and investor-state disputes. He addresses issues related to the pricing of natural gas and LNG, the assessment of damages involving alleged breaches of contract and/or expropriation, and the application of competition law. Who’s Who Legal has named Dr Moselle as a leading expert witness and competition economist.
As a former managing director of Ofgem, Dr Moselle also acts as an expert adviser on a range of regulatory and competition matters. He has analysed several EU utility mergers and has also provided analysis and testimony on a variety of competition matters outside of the energy industry.
Dr Moselle is a coeditor and coauthor of Harnessing Renewable Energy in Electric Power Systems: Theory, Practice, Policy; and coauthor of a textbook on econometrics, Managerial Statistics: A Case-Based Approach. He has extensive scholarly publications on a range of economic topics.
He was formerly with FTI Consulting, where he was senior managing director in its economic and financial consulting practice, and an executive vice president in FTI’s competition economics subsidiary, Compass Lexecon.
