Heiko Ziehms is a managing director in BRG’s London office. He focuses on the quantification of damages and forensic matters in complex commercial disputes, including matters related to breach of contract, mergers and acquisitions, joint venture, infrastructure and insolvency.
Mr Ziehms has been appointed as expert in numerous disputes. He has worked on matters in ICC, DIS, LCIA, ICSID and SIAC arbitration forums, ad hoc arbitrations and the courts. He has worked on some of the most complex corporate disputes in Europe, with values up to several billion euros. He is experienced in giving oral expert testimony. He also provides transaction advisory services and advises on completion mechanisms in SPAs. He has advised on several hundred transactions, including landmark deals.
Mr Ziehms has worked across a broad range of industries, including aerospace and defence, chemicals, construction, consumer goods, energy, entertainment, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, property, renewables, retail and telecommunications. He holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley and a graduate degree in business from the University of Bamberg, Germany. He is a certified fraud examiner. He has published numerous articles on financial aspects of commercial disputes, forensic accounting and valuation matters.
