Wendy Wagner is a partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office and leader of the firm's privacy and information management group. Her practice focuses on international trade law and investor-state arbitration as well as privacy, information management and defamation law. In her international trade law practice, Wendy represents the firm’s clients in matters involving trade and investment agreements including investor-state arbitration, export controls, and sanctions/embargos, and all aspects of customs compliance including rules of origin, customs valuation, and tariff classification. In addition to her selection by Who’s Who Legal: Trade & Customs, Wendy is also recognised by several industry-leading publications, including The Best Lawyers in Canada, The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, both Chambers Canada and Chambers Global, Legal 500 Canada, and Expert Guides: Women in Business Law.
