Andrey is a junior partner at Arias & Muñoz and has vast experience in the area of corporate and financial law. He is the junior partner in charge of M&A and private equity at the firm’s Costa Rica office. He has participated in a significant number of mergers and acquisitions, for national and international clients. He has vast experience in leading processes of due diligence and negotiation of contracts and joint ventures, and has also participated in the aspects of financing and restructuring of companies. Additionally, Andrey is responsible for the practice of competition law in Costa Rica. He has participated in numerous antitrust filings before the Commission to Promote Competition, and has much experience in advising companies on issues of commercial competition.
Andrey obtained his Juris Doctor-equivalent law degree from the University of Costa Rica Law School (2007) and he is authorised as a practising attorney in Costa Rica (2007). He obtained his LLM degree in international business law and globalisation from Utrecht University, the Netherlands (2009). Also, he is an authorised notary public according to Costa Rican regulations.
