Fay Zhou has been a partner in Linklaters’ global competition practice since 2014, based in Beijing. She is head of Linklaters’ Chinese competition practice.

She advises multinational and Chinese clients on all aspects of competition law and other regulatory issues, including high-profile and complex merger notifications. In addition, Fay assists clients in handling government investigations of alleged cartel activities, vertical agreements and abuse of dominance. She counsels clients on competition law compliance, with a focus on the healthcare, commodities, chemicals, home appliances and TMT sectors.

Fay previously served in MOFCOM for eight years. After receiving her LLM from Harvard Law School, she practised with international law firms for 11 years. She is qualified to practise law in China and the state of New York.

Fay’s talent has been recognised through various awards and rankings, including GCR’s “40 Under 40” and “100 Women in Antitrust” features; Asia Business Law Journal’s “2016 Top Chinese 15 Female Lawyers” feature; ASIAN-MENA Counsel and In-house Congress’s 2016 In-House Community Commended External Counsel of the Year Award; Client Choice/Lexology/International Law Office’s 2016 Client Choice Award for Competition and Antitrust in China; China Business Law Journal’s “2016 Top A-Lawyers” feature; and Concurrences' 2016 Global Antitrust Writing Awards.
