Bryan Krakauer is a partner in Sidley’s Chicago office. His practice area includes financial restructurings and corporate reorganisations of all types. Recent out-of-court restructuring engagements include lead counsel to debtors in successful restructurings of a national construction company, a national boat manufacturer, a regional truck servicing company, a national provider of audio and visual services and a national rewards marketing company. Significant chapter 11 engagements include counsel to: Tribune Company; bank lenders in PG&E chapter 11; Entergy in connection with Cajun Electric; El Paso Electric Company; and substantial credit constituencies in connection with Lehman, Sentinel, and Petters bankruptcy proceedings. He has also represented substantial creditor constituencies in connection with numerous out-of-court restructurings, including those of manufacturing and service companies, finance providers, insurance and reinsurance companies, and power generation facilities and securitisations of various types.
Bryan received his JD from the University of Chicago Law School and his AB (magna cum laude) from Duke University. He is admitted in Illinois.
