Maurice Lantourne, founding partner of Lantourne & Associés, was named Restructuring Lawyer of The Year (2015) in France and received the Grand Prix (2015) for restructuring at the French Senate.
With over 30 years' experience, Maurice Lantourne is a leading player in the area of insolvency and dispute resolution. He advises many creditors, debtors and other investors/purchasers of assets or of companies in difficulty.
He is also an acknowledged corporate litigation specialist and has extensive expertise in business criminal law in the context of proceedings concerning the liability of corporate officials (misuse of company assets, breach of trust) and of the legal entity (presentation of inaccurate accounts, market abuse, favouritism, corruption).
A barrister and member of the Paris Bar, Maurice Lantourne graduated from the University of Orleans. He founded a law office first in Montargis, and then in Paris (Lantourne & Associés), before joining Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP as head of the Paris department of litigation and companies in difficulty. In 2008 he joined Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP.
In 2014, he founded Lantourne & Associés with Flavie Hannoun and Kristell Cattani. In 2015 the new practice, which already comprises 12 people, was awarded the Law Trophy for restructuring, followed by the Grand Prix for Restructuring at the French Senate. Maurice Lantourne was also named Restructuring Lawyer of the Year 2015 by his peers. In 2016, Samuel Scherman joined the firm as a new partner.
Maurice Lantourne is also a founding member of the French Association for Business Turnaround (ARE) and a member of the French Commercial Court Association (AFFIC).
