Jonathan Redgrave is a partner with Redgrave LLP. Jonathan has extensive experience in all areas of complex litigation in both federal and state courts and focuses his practice in the areas of information law, which include e-discovery, records and information management, and data protection and privacy issues.
Jonathan is recognised by peers and clients as one of the leaders in e-discovery. Chambers and Partners has ranked Jonathan in the top tier, Band 1, nationally for litigation in e-discovery since the inception of its ranking in this area of law. The most recent edition of the publication notes that he “…offers almost unparalleled authority and expertise across the e-discovery process.” Jonathan’s global clients describe him as “a real thought leader with his finger on the pulse.” He provides extensive knowledge of litigation and advisory work for a range of global clients across multiple industries, focusing on practical solutions in “bet the company” litigation as well as advisory matters. He also has served as a special master, neutral and expert witness in a variety of matters.
Jonathan has authored, co-authored, and edited numerous publications, including serving as editor-in-chief of the first two editions of The Sedona Principles, and regularly speaks around the world on topics including e-discovery, cross-border discovery, information governance, privacy, data security, and emerging technologies. Jonathan helped found, was the first chair of, and currently is chair emeritus of The Sedona Conference working group on electronic document retention and production (WG-1). He also serves on the advisory board of The Sedona Conference. Jonathan serves on the Georgetown University law school e-discovery institute advisory board and previously was a co-chair of the institute. He also served on the advisory committee on the electronic records archives for the United States National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). Jonathan is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals along with several other trade and bar associations.
