Didier Sangiorgio is partner in the intellectual property and information technology team of Walder Wyss Ltd, one of Switzerland's leading law firms.
He advises corporations from, inter alia, the information technology, telecommunications, technology and utilities, financial services and insurance, and health care and life sciences sectors. He advises on a vast selection of IT and telecom-related transactions and has profound experience regarding comprehensive system integration and global outsourcing projects. In addition he holds several directorships on boards of non-listed corporations and trusts.
Didier Sangiorgio is co-chair of the Zurich Bar’s technology and telecom law practice group and past co-chair of the International Bar Association’s committee on intellectual property and entertainment law. He was a part-time lecturer at the Swiss Federal Institute for Technology (ETH) Zurich from 1997 to 2009.
Born in 1959, Didier Sangiorgio was educated at the University of Zurich (lic iur, 1984; Dr iur, 1996) and at the Georgetown University Law School, Washington DC (LLM, 1992). He has working experience as a clerk at the District Court of Winterthur, and as an associate in both a Zurich and a Pittsburgh law firm. He joined Walder Wyss in 1992 and became partner in 1996.
Didier Sangiorgio speaks German, French and English. He is registered with the Zurich Bar Registry and admitted to practise throughout Switzerland.
