Marc Russenberger is a partner of RKR Attorneys at Law, exclusively specialising in dispute resolution matters. He represents mostly international clients before state courts and arbitral tribunals as counsel.
After graduating as a Doctor of Law at the University of Zurich he worked in an Australian law firm in Melbourne and Sydney from 1988-1989. Thereafter, he worked as an attorney and partner in major law firms. From 2003-2008 he headed the dispute resolution department of VISCHER AG and from 2008-2013 he took on the same position at Wenger Plattner Attorneys at Law.
For more than 20 years he has been practising exclusively in the area of dispute resolution and procedural law. His special know-how includes freezing of assets in Switzerland, including those of foreign states, litigious matters in the area of banking and finance, enforcement of foreign judgments in Switzerland as well as avoidance and "claw back" claims in insolvency proceedings.
In addition, Marc Russenberger has published and presented on topics of his main focus. He has co-authored an IBA book on privileges and confidentiality and several commentaries on Swiss insolvency law (section relating to the first creditors' meeting and a section relating to prescription periods respectively).
