Dr Marta Sendrowicz is a partner in Allen & Overy LLP's Warsaw office and heads the Central and Eastern European EU and competition practice. She advises on a wide range of competition law issues arising out of commercial agreements as well as on cases concerning abuse of dominance and high-profile mergers.

She has an active practice representing clients in cases before the Polish Competition Authority covering explanatory and anti-monopoly proceedings, leniency applications and concentration proceedings. She assists clients in reviewing their business structures and is a keen advocate of new business models.

Marta offers client-oriented competition workshops for CEOs, managers and employees, always tailored to the specific needs of a particular industry, as well as internal audits. She is experienced in a wide range of industry sectors, in particular, financial services, energy, construction, retail and TMT.

She has handled cases for AkzoNobel, Amazon, Asahi, Cemex, Maspex, Naspers, P4, Samsung and Tesco.

Marta is a frequent speaker on Polish and European competition law at conferences and seminars organised by professional associations. She is recognised by all the principal legal directories as a leading individual in competition law. Marta is a Leading Individual in Competition/Antitrust in Poland (The Legal 500 2016, Chambers Europe 2016). “Marta Sendrowicz earns praise from commentators for her expertise in the competition sphere and excellent leadership skills. After graduating from the law faculty at Warsaw University, Marta completed an LLM programme in EU law at Maastricht University. In 2001, she completed her PhD studies in competition law at Warsaw University. Marta is also a lecturer on the postgraduate EU law programme at Warsaw University’s faculty of law.
