Theo is currently the chair of the corporate and commercial practice group. His practice over the last 30 years has been focused on corporate/commercial, taxation, mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property. He has advised extensively on the legal, tax and regulatory regimes governing mergers and acquisitions in Nigeria. He also advises on corporate structures, shareholder rights and corporate governance issues.
Theo led the team that advised a major international telecommunications company on the US$1.6 billion acquisition of one of Nigeria's pioneer mobile telecommunications network operators.
He also led the team that advised a private equity company on a multimillion-dollar acquisition of a Nigerian switching company.
Theo is admitted to practise law in England and Wales, Nigeria and Ghana.
He holds both a BSc (1979) and an MSc (1980) in engineering from Imperial College London, and is a member of Gray's Inn, London.
He is described as a “leading individual” by Legal 500 (2015).
