Between 1994 and 2001, Carlos Malpica Hernández’s practice was oriented to the representation of clients in structured and corporate finance, mergers, acquisitions, securities and banking.
The original practice of Mr Malpica constitutes a strong basis of a recognised and highly specialised litigation practice that started in 2002. Mr Malpica has represented plaintiffs and defendants in all types of cases and proceedings before the Supreme Court of Justice as well as federal and state judicial and administrative authorities in bankruptcy, commercial, civil and administrative litigation.
Mr Malpica has performed as secretary, member and/or alternate member of the board of directors of several private and public companies in Mexico and has been recognised by national and international publications as one of the best lawyers in his practice area.
Former managing partner of Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes and Foreign Associate at Garrigues, Mr Malpica founded the highly recognised litigation boutique Malpica, Iturbe, Buj & Paredes in 2014. Mr Malpica has been invited as an examiner and professor for the JD programme in banking law and for postgraduate courses at the Escuela Libre de Derecho and the Ibero-American University.
Mr Malpica holds an LLM from the Complutense University of Madrid and several PGCs from the University of Notre Dame. He is admitted to practise in Mexico and has a JD from the Ibero-American University.
