Michael Isler is a partner with Walder Wyss, practising in the firm’s Zurich office in the fields of ICT, intellectual property, technology transfer and licensing, life sciences and health care, outsourcing and data protection.
Having previously worked for a global telecoms infrastructure and service provider, Mr Isler has many years of practical experience in the area of information and communication technology. He regularly advises clients in complex technology-related transactions, with a particular affinity for regulated markets, and is recognised as an experienced litigator in intellectual property disputes. He is counselling in German and English, but also speaks French and Dutch.
As an active member of the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw), Mr Isler has been appointed vice chair of the intellectual property committee as well as local representative for Switzerland, and serves as a frequent speaker at international conferences.
He was educated at the Universities of Zurich (magna cum laude) and Louvain and also holds a doctoral degree from the University of Lucerne. He is a member of the Zurich Bar Association and admitted to practise throughout Switzerland. Before joining Walder Wyss, he worked as an attorney at another domestic law firm.
