Nicholas Good is a partner at KPMG LLP, based in London. Nicholas has specialised in litigation and arbitration work for the last 19 years, principally in the areas of loss quantification, accounting issues and valuation.
Nicholas frequently acts as an expert witness, preparing reports for the UK, Singapore and Belgium domestic courts and for arbitration tribunals (UNCITRAL, ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SCC, Zurich Chambers of Commerce and Danish Arbitration Institute). He has worked on loss of profits claims, post-acquisition disputes, disputes over accounting interpretation, auditor negligence, insurance claims and claims following findings of antitrust abuses. He has quantified loss in cases ranging from £1 million to over £10 billion.
Nicholas has worked in a wide range of business sectors, in particular oil and gas, mining, manufacturing industries, hospitality, and hedge funds. He has given oral evidence many times, in arbitrations in London, Geneva, Paris, Singapore, Vienna and Washington, DC, as well as in the UK's domestic courts.
Nicholas also acts as an expert determiner, to determine disputes whether as a result of post-completion issues, operational issues or on exit from joint ventures.
WWL says: Nicholas Good is "never less than hugely impressive" in his expert testimony relating to forensic accounting.
