Hermes Marcelo Huck is the founder of Lilla Huck Otranto Camargo Advogados.
He is a full tenured professor of economic law at the University of São Paulo. He was chief of the economic and financial law department and associate professor of the international law department within the same university.
Professor Huck graduated in law from the University of São Paulo. He holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Laws degree and a Juris Science Doctor (PhD) degree in international law from the University of São Paulo. Among other titles, Professor Huck has been granted the title of “livre docente” professor of international law at the University of São Paulo. He was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, and at Harvard University.
Professor Huck has acted in disputes regarding corporate law, contracts, energy law, construction and commercial law, among others, on behalf of Brazilian and international clients. He is also heavily involved in arbitral tribunals, and has been appointed by the Brazilian government to act in international disputes within the Mercosul common market. Professor Huck has participated as chairman, co-arbitrator, legal counsel to the parties and also as an expert witness in arbitral tribunals, in Brazil and abroad, especially under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce, the European Arbitration Chamber, the American Arbitration Association, Concord Agreement Arbitration Chamber of the Formula One Constructors Association, the FIESP Arbitration Chamber, the Arbitration Center of the Brasil Canada Chamber of Commerce, and others.
He is ranked by Chambers Global which describes him as a "most in-demand" arbitrator.
