Geoff has been selected as one of the world’s top 10 commercial mediators in the 2013, 2014 and 2015 editions of Who’s Who Legal, which has called him “the leading mediator in New Zealand” with an “‘exceptional reputation all over the world”, adding that he is “in high demand for his practice covering the Asia-Pacific region being one of the most highly rated individuals on Who’s Who international research”.

Geoff is available to mediate in most jurisdictions, particularly the UK, Asia and Middle East.

Geoff is a door tenant of Brick Court Chambers, one of the leading sets of barristers’ chambers in London with a strong reputation in commercial law.

Geoff is one of New Zealand's busiest commercial mediators being voted inaugural Mediator of the Year at the 2012 NZ Law Awards. He has been a full-time mediator for over a decade and has mediated thousands of disputes in that time.

He is a proactive mediator who adds value to the negotiation process with the ability to connect and assist unyielding parties to settle the most difficult and contentious cases.

Geoff has a strong commitment to Asia and regularly mediates in Singapore. He is appointed to the Singapore International Mediation Centre's Panel, as well as the National Electricity Market of Singapore dispute resolution and compensation panel. He is also appointed to the international panel of the Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation.

In Europe he is a member of CEDR’s international mediator network and the Florence International Mediation Chamber.

He is an IMI-certified mediator and is honoured to be a past LEADR fellow and the first Australasian to be elected a distinguished fellow of the International Academy of Mediators in the USA.

Before becoming a full-time mediator Geoff was a litigation partner of Bell Gully, one of New Zealand's largest commercial law firms.

He holds NZ and UK passports and is admitted to the New Zealand Courts, the Supreme Court of Victoria, High Court of Australia and the Australian Federal Court, as well as being accredited under the Australian National Mediator Standards.
