Yves Bizollon joined Bird & Bird in March 2006, and is head of the firm's IP practice and life sciences sector group in France. His main area of practice is intellectual property litigation, with a special focus on patent litigation. He has acted for many clients ranging from small highly specialised companies to leading organisations. His activity is largely dedicated to cross-border disputes.
Yves Bizollon was admitted as lawyer in 1982 and began his career as an associate in the IP department of Lamy, Véron, Ribeyre & Associés where he specialised in various areas of intellectual property law including patents, trademarks, designs, copyright and unfair competition. Yves became a partner at Lamy, Véron, Ribeyre & Associés, before heading the IP department.
He is a Professor at CEIPI (Strasbourg), a lecturer at Centre Paul Roubier and teaches regularly at Montpellier Law University.
Yves is a member of many professional organisations such as APRAM, EPLAW, AAPI, GRAPI. He is the past president of the AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of the Intellectual Property) French Group and was previously vice-president of the AAPPI.
Yves Bizollon is acclaimed for his patent expertise, alongside his 'quick responses and endless availability' (Chambers & Partners Europe 2008).
He is mentioned in Legal 500 2010 - France, as 'a renowned patent expert with great procedural and litigation expertise.'
