Thomas Kustor is a partner in our disputes group and specialises in the conduct of lawsuits in all fields of business law, with a particular focus on litigious proceedings for corporations and financial institutions and on company and commercial law, general and plant construction, and products liability. A focus on collective actions, eg, increasing follow-on damage claims as a consequence of cartel infringements and the significance of investigative and related work, including white-collar crime, has shaped the focus of his practice.
Thomas conducts high-profile litigation cases that are often extremely sensitive in nature – especially in a multi-jurisdictional context. He has advised and represented clients in several industrial engineering matters as well as in contentious matters involving banks and other corporations.
Thomas was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1966. He received his legal education at the universities of Vienna and Exeter, UK. He holds a Doctor of Laws (Dr iur) degree from the University of Vienna and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Exeter University.
Thomas Kustor is the co-author and editor of the book Internal Investigations, as well as the author of several articles on dispute resolution. He also lectures at seminars. He was admitted to the Austrian Bar in 1994.
Thomas joined the firm in 1999 and speaks German and English.
