Mr Croft was educated at Yale University and the University of Michigan Law School, with distinction, in 1965. He is a distinguished fellow of the International Academy of Mediators and a fellow of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators. He is a member of the executive committee of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, www.nadn.org, and the Georgia Academy of Mediators and Arbitrators, www.georgiamediators.org. Mr Croft serves on the board of governors of the State Bar of Georgia and has served in the House of Delegates at the American Bar Association. He is a former president of the Atlanta Bar Association. He is a frequent lecturer, trainer and writer on the subject of mediation and has mediated across a wide range of subject matters. He has twice been selected as One of the Top 100 (of 42,000) Lawyers in Georgia. He has been selected as a Georgia Super Lawyer for the last eight years and selected as one of the Best Lawyers in America in ADR. He has been a civil trial lawyer since 1965 and a mediator since 1985.
Mr Croft and his wife, Merry, have six children and nine grandchildren. They reside in Atlanta and in the mountains of North Georgia.
