Mr Tosto focused his practice in the litigation area and has also been representing clients in disputes before the Brazilian courts regarding construction, infrastructure, commercial, banking and contract law involving some of the largest Brazilian and multinational groups. Mr Tosto was president of the Commission for the Reform of the Judiciary - Brazilian Bar Association in São Paulo (Comissão da Reforma do Judiciário da OAB - SP) for several years; member of the Commission for the Modernization of the Judiciary (Comissão de Modernização do Judiciário) of the Brazilian Bar Association in São Paulo; member of the council of the Center for studies of law Firms (Conselho do Centro de Estudos das Sociedades de Advogados - CESA); member of the advisory board of the magazine Revista dos Tribunais (Conselho Consultivo da Revista dos Tribunais); member and legal counsel of the Alumni of the IMD and he is also a founding member of the Brazilian Institute of Electoral and Party Studies (IBEDEP - Instituto Brasileiro de Estudos de Direito Eleitoral e Partidário).
