Mark A Reutter is a partner with the Swiss law firm Walder Wyss, one of Switzerland's leading law firms.

His practice focuses both on providing comprehensive advice to clients who are active in the information, science and technology field and on advising corporate and private clients in relation to technology, intellectual property, and restructuring and bankruptcy matters. He is a member of the TMT and of the insolvency and restructuring practice groups at Walder Wyss. He handles the structuring, negotiation and implementation of projects, technology transfers, outsourcings, licensing, distribution, manufacturing, transactions, other contractual matters, and commercial and insolvency-related questions.

Mark A Reutter graduated from the University of Zurich law school in 1989 (summa cum laude), obtained a doctorate in law in 1992 (magna cum laude), passed the bar in 1995 and received an LL.M from Harvard Law School in 1998. Before joining Walder Wyss in 1995, he worked as a research and teaching assistant with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and as a clerk with the Zurich District Court’s insolvency and bankruptcy section. In 1999, he was as a foreign associate with the law firm Morgan Lewis' New York office. Since 2007, Mark Reutter has taught at University of Fribourg law school where he was an associate lecturer for IT and telecommunications law.

He has been a member of the expert group on e-health of the Swiss Federal Council, president of the UIA commission for IT and telecommunications law and currently serves as president of the Kunsthalle Zurich.
