Mr Hayaux-du-Tilly's main areas of practice include corporate, mergers and acquisitions and banking and finance. He is specialised in insurance and reinsurance, both in contentious and non-contentious matters.

He has represented and advised American Life Insurance Company (a member of AIG), Assurant Solutions, CIGNA, Cardif, Dentegra, Landamerica, MetLife, Panamerican Life, Principal, Seguros Priza, Prudential, Skandia (Old Mutual), The Hartford and The Travelers Companies in the establishment of their Mexican affiliate insurance companies and provided these companies, on an ongoing basis, with general legal advice on corporate, regulatory, mergers and acquisitions and product development matters.

He currently represents the following Mexican affiliate insurance companies on an ongoing basis in transactional work, merger and acquisitions, product development and general regulatory, corporate, corporate governance and compliance related matters: AXA Seguros Mexico, Assurant Daños Mexico, Assurant Vida Mexico, Cardif Mexico Seguros de Vida, Cardif Mexico Seguros Generales, Dentegra Seguros Dentales, Genworth, Grupo Nacional Provincial (GNP), Grupo Sudamericano de Inversiones (Sura), LandAmerica Mexico (in liquidation), Mapfre Asistencia, MetLife Mexico, Panamerican Life Mexico, Seguros Azteca, Seguros Principal, Skandia (Old Mutual),Principal Pensiones, Prudential Seguros Mexico and Zurich Mexico.

He also represents Mexican and foreign insurance and reinsurance companies in coverage issues, claims, disputes, negotiation and settlement of insurance and reinsurance claims and has experience in arbitration and mediation.

He is the former chairman of the Mexican chapter of AIDA (AMEDESEF) and currently serves as vice chairman of AMEDESEF and is responsible for the establishment and operation of ARIAS Mexico.

He is a member of the presidential council of the Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances (AIDA) and member of its finance committee, vice chairman of CILA and honourary member of the Commercial Bar (COMBAR).

He is a co-founder of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom, and of the Latin American Forum in London.

He has acted as secretary of the board of directors and non-executive independent director and secretaryof the anti-money laundering, investments, risk and audit committees of Mexican insurance and surety subsidiaries of international companies such as Assurant, Cardif, CIGNA, MetLife, Principal, Skandia and The Travelers Companies.

Currently he serves as non-executive and independent director of Dentegra Seguros Dentales, liquidator of LandAmerica Title Insurance Company Mexico, and also serves as secretary of the board of directors of Assurant Vida Mexico and Assurant Daños Mexico.
