Tabitha is a partner at Rex Attorneys in Dar Es Salaam where she joined in 2002. Her main areas of practice are in corporate and mining law, and more recently oil and gas. She has advised resource companies in matters ranging from corporate restructures, policy and contracts, acquisitions, joint ventures, labour, compliance, competition, conflict resolution in particular between artisanal miners and foreign subsidiaries and she has also advised numerous multinational companies seeking to raise capital in international markets for local exploration projects. Tabitha provides company secretarial services to retainer clients in mining, tourism and telecommunication industries and assists investors to establish their businesses in Tanzania.
Tabitha presented a paper at the Tanzania Mining, Energy Conference & Exhibition in 2011. She holds an LLB from Keele University and an LLM from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society (TLS), East African Law Society (EALS) and SADC Lawyers Association. She is currently serving on the advisory board of a wildlife training institution in Tanzania. She is fluent in English and Kiswahili and has some working knowledge of French.
