Who's Who Legal Nigeria - Banking

Ayotunde Owoigbe obtained her law degree from the University of Lagos and was called to the Nigerian Bar in January 2001. She joined Banwo & Ighodalo, a leading multi-disciplinary Nigerian law firm, in February 2001. She was admitted into the firm's partnership on 1 February 2010. Her core areas of practice are banking, capital markets, mergers & acquisitions and project finance.

She presently serves as vice-chair of the Capital Market Solicitors Association and is a member of the capital markets sub-committee of the section on business law of the Nigerian Bar Association. Ayotunde is a 2007 associate of the Nigeria Leadership Initiative (a leadership development not-for-profit, affiliated with the Aspen Institute). She has authored several articles in leading legal publications and frequently delivers presentations on subjects in her core practice areas.

In due recognition of her expertise, Ayotunde is consistently ranked as a leading Nigerian lawyer by several reputable international legal directories including Chambers Global IFLR 1000, Who's Who Legal and World's Leading Women in Business Law. She sits on the board of BlackBerry Technologies Nigeria Limited (the Nigerian subsidiary of BlackBerry).
