Roland's practice focuses on labour and employment and sponsoring law but also includes corporate and finance work, aviation and insolvency. He has acted as an expert in insolvency proceedings, as a court-appointed commissioner in reorganisation and restructuring matters and as a chairman in creditors' committees. For several years, Roland worked for a major Formula 1 team and was involved, inter alia, in sponsorship agreements. He has many years experience acting as an escrow agent in international aircraft transactions. He is co-author of several publications on Swiss employment law.
Roland obtained his law degree from the University of Geneva in 1973 and was admitted to the bar in 1976. In 1980 he obtained a Master of Comparative Jurisprudence from New York University. His working languages are French, English and Italian.
Roland is a member of the Geneva and Swiss Bar Association, International Bar Association (IBA), Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA). He is also one of our firm's representatives within the Employment Law Alliance (ELA).
