Biography • Capital Markets
José Eduardo Carneiro Queiroz joined Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados in 1995 after working in investment banking. Mr Queiroz has a degree in Business from Getúlio Vargas Foundation (1993) and an LLB from the University of São Paulo Law School (1997). He also attended a special programme on Economics and Political Science at Georgetown University (1994).The main focus of Mr Queiroz's practice is financial markets, including banking, securities offerings and structured transactions. He has vast experience in all types of securities offerings (equity debt, securitisation and investment funds) as well as in regulatory issues involving capital markets and banks. Mr Queiroz is very active on M&A transactions, especially those involving listed companies and with capital markets components. Mr Queiroz has also helped in some of the most important self-regulatory initiatives in Brazil.
