Lyn Pruitt is a member of Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, PLLC, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She has served as co-liaison counsel and co-lead trial counsel for national hormone therapy litigation and Arkansas trial counsel for numerous pharmaceutical and medical device companies, as well as co-lead trial counsel on a number of national trial teams in pharmaceutical and medical device cases. Ms Pruitt has served as lead or co-lead trial counsel in numerous class action cases, both state and proposed national classes, involving class awards valued from $10 million to $500 million.
Ms Pruitt is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Litigation Counsel of America. She is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC); the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA); the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and its drug and medical device committee; the American Bar Association and its tort and insurance practice section; the Arkansas Bar Association and its tort law committee and civil procedure committee; and the William R Overton Inn of Court. She has served on the faculty of the IADC Trial Academy, and on the IADC board of directors.
Ms Pruitt has been named in Super Lawyers for product liability defence since 2006, and was recognised in Super Lawyers Corporate Counsel Edition, personal injury-products liability in 2009. She has also been named to Mid-South Super Lawyers, Who's Who Legal (product liability defence), Chambers and Partners USA; Leading Business Lawyers (litigation: general commercial) and The Best Lawyers in America for many consecutive years. In 2013, Ms Pruitt was one of only 10 lawyers named Best Lawyers 2013 Lawyer of the Year in mass tort/class action and product liability litigation, and was selected as one of the top 10 international product liability defence lawyers in Who’s Who Legal: Product Liability Defence 2013.
