Aviation has always been an important activity of the firm for more than 25 years, with clients such as the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) and the Safran group. Its activity in the field started when the firm was retained to advise the French ministry of Transport, especially on liability. Soulez Larivière & Associés is very well known for its ability to manage complex litigation such as Concorde crash or Airbus 320 accident at Mont Saint-Odile.
Simon has become specialised in aviation law and the specificities of the aeronautical sector. Together with the team of Soulez Larivière & Associés, Simon has acted for French and foreign companies, equipment manufacturers, aeronautic engeneers, aircraft lessors, insurance companies, airport authorities, air traffic controllers and government agencies. His fields of activity have included product liability, commercial disputes, contracts, liens, airworthiness regulation, problems involving freight, and, when relevant, criminal liability (especially in cases of aircraft accidents).
Simon mainly does litigation and has also occasionally acted as arbitrator. He was elected to the Air and Space Academy in 2009. He has both English and French nationalities and works fluently in both languages.
