Gary Stern is a partner in Sidley's Chicago office, practising in domestic and international finance transactions. Mr Stern focuses on representing lenders, investors and borrowers in financing transactions in the film and entertainment industry, film financing transactions and other deals involving the financing of intellectual property royalties and revenue streams. Extensive work in the financing and securitisation industry representing lenders in transactions involving a variety of traditional asset classes as well as more esoteric assets. Mr Stern's practice also includes financing of projects under the United States EB-5 immigrant investor programme. He is a member of the American Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association.Mr Stern received his JD (cum laude, Order of the Coif) from Northwestern University School of Law in 1982 and his BA from the University of Michigan in 1979. He is admitted to practice in Illinois.
