David Pritikin is a partner in Sidley’s Chicago office and leads the firm’s national intellectual property practice and served as a member of the firm’s executive committee from 2000 to 2014. David is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has served as lead counsel in many high-profile patent cases. He has successfully represented clients in bench and jury trials involving a range of technologies, including software, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals and medical devices. He has also handled significant cases establishing and applying FRAND requirements for standard essential patents. He has argued numerous cases in the Federal Circuit.
David received his JD (magna cum laude) from Harvard Law School in 1974 and his AB (summa cum laude) from Cornell University in 1971. He is admitted to the Illinois Bar.
