Biography • Mergers and Acquisitions
Willibald Plesser has been a partner with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer since 1987 and works in the Vienna office. He is a member of the corporate practice group and specialises in mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, energy law and PPP projects and investments in Eastern Europe. He is the firm's co-head for the CEE/CIS region.Willibald was born in Haide, Austria, in 1955. He completed his legal and philosophical education at the University of Vienna, from where he holds a Doctor of Laws (Dr iur) degree and a Master of Philosophy in English and history (Mag phil). He is active in the International Bar Association, including its section on energy and resources law, and is a lecturer and the author of various publications on CEE topics. He was admitted to the Austrian Bar in 1986.
Willibald joined the firm in 1981. He speaks German and English.
