Ira A Eddymurthy is a founding partner of SSEK Legal Consultants. Her practice focuses on banking and finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, insurance and tax law. Ms Eddymurthy is lauded for her “sophisticated knowledge of Indonesian law” and her “comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the commercial aims of clients” (Chambers & Partners).
Her recent banking and finance work includes representing Enerflex, a global supplier of oil and gas products and services, on all Indonesian aspects of a C$675 million revolving credit facility entered into with syndicated lenders, and advising a Japan-based financial institution on the establishment of REITs to finance the development of shopping centers in Indonesia and other ASEAN countries.
Ms Eddymurthy advised Standard Chartered on a US$90 million ISDA financing arrangement, advised a multinational financial services company on the sale of its credit card and related businesses in Indonesia, and acted as Indonesian counsel to the Japan Bank for International Cooperation on loan arrangements for a vehicle financing company in Indonesia.
Ms Eddymurthy is recognised as an expert in banking, M&A and capital markets by Who’s Who Legal, and as one of the top capital markets and M&A lawyers in Indonesia by Chambers Asia Pacific. She is also regularly recognised by IFLR1000, The Legal 500 and Asia Law & Practice.
Ms Eddymurthy graduated from the University of Indonesia Faculty of Law in 1984 and was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall) School of Law from 1990 to 1991. She is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association and is licensed as an Indonesian capital markets legal consultant.
