Daniel Daeniker (born 1963) is the managing partner of Homburger AG, one of Switzerland's leading law firms based in Zurich. He studied English law at Cambridge, Swiss law at the Universities of Neuchâtel and Zurich, from where he graduated in 1987 and obtained a doctorate in 1992, and US law at The Law School of the University of Chicago (LLM 1996). He was admitted to the Zurich bar in 1990.
Daniel Daeniker has spent most of his professional career with Homburger AG, where he has been a partner since 2000. He was head of the Corporate | M&A practice group from 2009 to 2014 and has been managing partner since 2013. He also chairs the India focus group of Homburger. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, particularly cross-border transactions, and on corporate governance. Other areas of work include capital markets law, particularly equity offerings and IPOs, and financial services regulation.
Daniel Daeniker is a member of the board of directors of dormakaba Holding AG, where he is chairman of the audit committee, and of Rothschild & Co, where he is a member of the strategy committee and the risk committee. He is a lecturer in law at the University of Zurich, a member of the visiting committee at The Law School of the University of Chicago, and a member of the editorial board of the legal periodical GesKR (Zeitschrift für Gesellschafts- und Kapitalmarktrecht).
