Robert is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales. He joined the firm in 1985 and he has lived and worked in the United States and England. He has been resident in Hong Kong since June 1994. He was educated at King's College, London. He is a member of the firm's partnership council, and the coordinating editor of the Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer Guide to Mergers and Acquisitions in Asia.
Robert is a regular speaker on M&A and private equity topics and a frequent contributor to industry journals. He has been named as a 'leading lawyer' in IFLR 1000 and a 'leading individual' by PLC Which Lawyer?, and has been ranked in the top tier for corporate/M&A by Chambers Asia for more than 10 years.
