PROFESSIONAL NOTICE

For many Italian and foreign companies, LABLAW Studio Legale Failla Rotondi & Partners is the biggest, most important and, certainly, the most extensive Italian law firm specialised in labour law – as proven by the many awards and prizes gained over the years.

Guided by its founders Luca Failla and Francesco Rotondi, the firm carries out advisory activities for important Italian and foreign companies in all areas of employment law and industrial relations. These include restructuring, downsizing processes, outsourcing, collective/individual dismissals, and day-to-day advisory and consulting work, as well as guiding top-level managers in complex negotiations relating to both formalisation and termination of employment relationships.

Following the recent partnership with the very well-known employment boutique law firm Marazza & Associati in Rome, LABLAW currently has around 80 lawyers, including 18 partners, in seven locations across Italy.

INTERNATIONAL NETWORK

In January 2011, LABLAW became an original founding member of L&E Global, an international integrated alliance exclusively specialised in providing labour and employment law advice around the globe. Today the network has more than 1,500 employment law experts in over 30 countries spanning four continents; they are able to offer assistance to international companies in all matters connected to employment law (http://leglobal.org/).LABLAW was one of the first labour and employment law boutiques in Italy to be a founding member of an international network. L&E Global has been recognised in the 2018 edition of Chambers Global as an Elite Law Firm Network.

LABLAW’s lawyers are also active members of the most prominent legal organisations, including the International Bar Association (IBA), the American Bar Association (ABA), the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA), the Italian Bar Association, the Italian Supreme Court Bar, the Italian Employment Lawyers Association (AGI), the Italian Association of Personnel Directors (AIDP), HRCommunity Academy and the Italian Association of Law Firms (ASLA).

PIONEERING

LABLAW stands out in the Italian labour and employment law market for forging its own unique path – that is, for being a pioneering firm, with the following examples particularly worthy of note:

German Desk

The desk was created in September 2017 and is currently co-headed by senior associate Laura Cinicola and partner Giorgio Treglia.

Labour criminal law experts

As far as the integration of skills is concerned, LABLAW has created a partnership with criminal law experts that will deal with all criminal aspects of employment law. It will also help to assessthe specific weaknesses of each project in terms of corporate compliance; analysis and procedures for the prevention of crime risk, pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/01 and 81/08 (the regulation for health and safety in the workplace); developing a code of ethics; attribution of power-of-attorney status in companies; and criminal litigation and forensic investigation.

LABLAW is Italy’s first labour and employment law boutique to establish a dedicated sports law practice, which has represented numerous sporting celebrities and teams.
