In Nicaragua, Ernesto Rizo is “outstanding” particularly in relation to cross-border transactions and advising local and foreign clients on M&A transactions. He is also listed in the finance practice, where his expertise in capital markets transactions is highlighted in particular. Andrés López in Costa Rica co-chairs the finance department and has represented both lenders and borrowers in some of the biggest finance transactions over the last few years. He is described as “excellent” and “meticulous” by clients.

In Costa Rica, Luis Castro is also recognised for his corporate law practice, where he has “vast experience” in complex cross-border transactions. As head of the firm’s real estate law practice, he leads the firm on some of its largest mandates in this space. In El Salvador, Ricardo Cevallos is “a formidable disputes lawyer” and clients commend his “superb command of corporate and commercial law”.

In Costa Rica, Uri Weinstok is a “big name” in competition law, having represented global and national corporations in pre-merger approval processes. Giselle Reuben heads the firm’s IP practice and is highly regarded as counsel for the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights for domestic and international clients.
