The firm has a full-service offering with a particular focus on the financial services, life sciences, information, technology and media, sport and entertainment, energy, real estate/construction and retail sectors.

The litigation and arbitration practice is home to practitioners of considerable experience and includes matters such as fraud litigation, product liability defence, investor-state arbitration and commercial arbitration between two providers of telecommunication services. Bernhard Berger is recommended for his work in arbitration and litigation and he regularly represents clients in arbitration-related state court proceedings to set motions aside or for the enforcement of arbitral awards. Martin Molina acts as counsel and arbitrator in matters relating to sales, distributorships, licensing, financing, joint ventures and share purchases.

Kellerhals Carrard is also home to “distinguished players” in the sports and entertainment legal market. François Carrard regularly appears in international arbitration proceedings before the Court of Arbtiration for Sport (CAS). Clients praise his “wealth of expertise” and “familiarity with the court proceedings”. François Kaiser also possesses deep expertise in sports law and is in “high demand” as counsel in arbitration before CAS.

Construction and real estate are further areas of expertise and the firm’s lawyers assist clients in managing legal risk and reaching settlement in contentious matters. Fabrizio Gabrielli is “the whole package” according to clients who praise his ability to advise on projects and assist in litigation when the need arises. Bernd Hauck is a “thoughtful lawyer” who provides “concise, pragmatic advice”.

Thomas Eichenberger heads the life sciences team and has strong experience in health, pharmaceutical, medical device and food law. Clients praise his “comprehensive advice” and “ability to convey complex legal issues in an easy-to-understand way”.
