Ferdinand Brughmans joins Jones Day Brussels
Who’s Who Legal-listed partner Ferdinand Brughmans has joined international law firm Jones Day from White & Case, becoming one of several recent additions to its growing projects and infrastructure practice in Brussels.

Brughmans focuses on a range of banking and finance matters, including project finance work as well as asset, leveraged and acquisition finance. He has notable experience in energy and infrastructure projects, and has represented lenders and financers in several notable financial transactions in Belgium.
As part of Who’s Who Legal’s annual research into the project finance market, Brughmans was described to us as a “great and very active lawyer” who is recognised for his expertise representing lenders and credit export agencies.
Alongside Brughmans, Jones Day also hired partner Matthieu Duplat and three associates from White & Case. Bernard Amory, partner-in-charge of Jones Day’s Brussels office, commented that the arriving lawyers are “extremely well connected to the Belgian and European markets, and will strongly complement and enhance our client service offerings in the financial sector”.
