NBC Universal announces general counsel hire in New York
Media and entertainment market leader NBC Universal has announced the appointment of Kimberley Harris as executive vice president and general counsel.
Harris will take up the position on 3 September at the company’s headquarters in New York City.
Currently at Davis Polk & Wardwell, where she is a partner in the litigation department, Harris also spent two years at the White House Counsel’s Office. During this time her positions included deputy counsel and deputy assistant to the President. Harris has also served as senior counsel to the Assistant Attorney General in the US Department of Justice’s criminal division, where her work focused on fraud-related issues.
“With extensive experience, proven leadership ability, and a track record of success, Kim is a great choice to guide our law department,” said Steve Burke, current chief executive officer of NBC Universal. “I look forward to working closely with her in the months and years ahead.”
