Milbank welcomes project finance expert in London
Leading project finance lawyer Clive Ransome has joined the London office of Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy LLP.
He joins after 27 years at Linklaters where he focused on project and structured financings for power infrastructure, refineries, LNG and petrochemicals projects. He spent time working at the firm’s Hong Kong office and also worked with sponsors, multilateral agencies and finance institutions on projects across Europe, Latin America and Asia.
“I am delighted to be joining Milbank, which has one of the top project finance practices in the world,” said Ransome. “The firm has been working on the largest and most innovative projects in a way that complements my own practice. I am looking forward to bringing my expertise to the group and to using my London base and Asian experience to continue expanding the group’s international footprint.”
Ransome recently advised the lenders for Poland’s first LNG terminal, and helped Korea’s LG Chem on its acquisition of a controlling stake in a US$5 billion state petrochemicals projects in Western Kazakhstan.
